Reppin' the Bay Area with attitude and striking, instantly recognizable graphics, the T-shirts of fiftyseven-thirtythree stand out in their uniqueness and local flavor. We can't help but feel more ready to take on the world when we're in our fiftyseven-thirtythree gear!

The fiftyseven-thirtythree Story fiftyseven-thirtythree emerged in mid-2007 and was started by Lo, an Oakland native & James, a graduate of the California College of the Arts.  We had no idea this was going to happen.  We didn't know anything about business or the "right" way to screen print...one thing we had was lot's of inspiration from the world we live in.

In my other life… James Dawson was a commercial photographer for 12 years and Lo earned a Design degree at UCDavis. Currently, we run fiftyseven-thirtythree full-time with the help of Moy, May, and Scott.

Did you know? We decided to name our business after our address....mainly because we were didn't want to get sick and tired of a name that was too catchy or too clever.  Yes I know it's safe but we like it.  Our designs, on the hand are not so safe.

I've also been known to answer to...

James nicknamed me Lo when we met 5 years ago, and it has stuck ever since.
